Fabergé "Bear on a Pearl" Necklace

This necklace is inspired by the “bear on a pearl” charm of a Fabergé bracelet in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

As jeweler to the Imperial family of Russia, the House of Fabergé (ca. 1842-1920) in Saint Petersburg, Russia, specialized in creating exquisite objects of extraordinary craftsmanship in precious metals and gems for their elite clientele. These sometimes whimsical creations, such as this bear, were made to delight and amaze!

Pendant measures 1/2" in length, and chain measures 18" in length.
